MRS. WINIFRED FOREMAN
A native of The Netherlands, Mrs. Winifred Foreman died April 26 at 8:30 in the home of her son, Jake Foreman at LeMars. She was 96 years old last March [14th.] Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29, at 1 p.m. in the Pioneer Home here and at [??]in the First Reformed Church, with Rev. H. Colenbrander officiating. Burial will be in the Orange City Cemetery.
Mrs. Foreman was born in Franeker, Friesland, and was married to Richard Foreman there. They came here in 1883, and lived in LeMars. They later moved to Hospers, and in 1910 moved to Orange City. Mr. Foreman died 20 years ago in February. Mrs. Foreman moved to the Pioneer Home in 1932, but after suffering a broken hip in July of 1943, she made her home with her children.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Nick Holster and Jake Foreman of LeMars, and Mike Foreman of Hospers. There are also 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
