Cora Etta Anderton was born 9 Apr 1872, Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co, WI, to Charles and Mary (Kendrick) Anderton.
She married John Edward Blomberg on 17 Mar 1895 at Big Springs Baptist Church, Union Co, South Dakota.
John and Cora had two children, Viola Othelia Blomberg and David Emanuel Blomberg. They also raised a foster son Leland Joseph Brink; who took the Blomberg name after being in Cora's care for most of his youth.
John passed away on 5 Feb 1907. Cora was widowed with three children, her mother-in-law and a 87 acre farm to take care of at the age of 35.
On 3 Aug 1910, Cora married Clarence Edward Waterbury. To this union a son, Vernon Woodrow Waterbury, was born. The couple farmed south and east of Big Springs for many years. Cora's son David E. Blomberg moved to the farm and the farm was in the family until the early 1990's.
Remaining to mourn her loss: Her husband Clarence Waterbury; three sons, David Blomberg and his wife Mary, Leland Blomberg and his wife Agnes, and son Leland, and Vernon Waterbury; Son-in-law, John Joustra and children, Clifford, Delbert, Cleo, Arlene, Jack, Jarene and Jeanetta.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Blomberg and daughter Viola Joustra.
