Nettie E. Beck

Nettie E. Beck, 70, 4209 Polk St., died Wednesday, april 8, 1992, at a Sioux city hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gerald Kapanka officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemtery. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6-9 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Beck, the former Nettie E. Ferguson, was born April 23, 1921, in Perry Township, Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Pearl (Merrill) Ferguson. She married Raymond H. Beck March 14, 1942, in Hinton, Iowa. The couple farmed in Plymouth county before moving to Sioux City in 1972. He died April 1, 1983, in Sioux City. she was employed at St. Joseph Hospital in housekeeping for several years and later at New Horizens Care Center for five years, retiring in 1984.

Mrs. Beck was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Calvary Lutheran Women's League and the Dorcas Circle.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis Beck and his wife Lu of Columbus, Neb., Roger Beck and his wife Dianne of Sioux City, and Terry Beck of Westland, Michigan., three sisters, Florence Adams and her husband, Karl of San Francisco, Calif., Bessie Cramandy of Phoenix, Ariz., and Barbara Kamradt and her husband Clarence of Sioux City; and six grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Eric Beck, Kelly Beck, Mike albertsen, Mike Schuttpelz, Richard Krueger and Patrick Bartholomew.
