Obituaries William C. Bauerly, 1886-1955
William C. Bauerly, 69, retired farmer from the Merrill area who died Wednesday at the home of a son in Moville, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ellendale church at Merrill.
Rev. William Carel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under direction of the Luken funeral home of LeMars.
Mr. Bauerly was born January 17, 1886, at Merrill.
He married Frances Poradek February 5, 1906, at Merrill.
Survivors include the widow, Frances; a son, Allison, of Moville; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Boden of Akron, Ia., Mrs. Lois Besch of Sioux City, and Mrs. Wilma Brown of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Wm. Bauerly, 69, Buried Saturday
William C. Bauerly, 69, lifelong resident of the Merrill vicinity, died Wednesday, August 17 at the home of his son, Allison, in Moville. He had been in ill health the past four years.
He was born Jan. 17, 1886, in Plymouth county. His marriage to Frances Poradek took place Feb. 5, 1906 at Ellendale. Mr. Bauerly was a retired farmer.
Survivors are his wife; son Allison of Moville; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Marie) Boden of Akron, and Mrs. Herman (Lois) Besch and Mrs. Reuben (Wilma) Brown, both of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Henry P. of Merrill and Joe of Sioux City; and a sister, Mrs. Al Miller of Merrill.
Funeral services were Saturday morning Aug. 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Ellendale, located west of Merrill. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Luken's Funeral Home.
