Obituary of Gretchen Hall Vondrak (Mrs. John J. Vondrak), May 12, 1899 - July 15, 1984
Mrs. Gretchen Vera Vondrak, 85, Garden Grove, Calif., former Sioux City resident, died Sunday in Garden Grove.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City. The Rev. Omar W. Pettersen, pastor of the Whitfield United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vondrak, the former Gretchen Vera Hall, was born May 12, 1899, in Sergeant Bluff. She married John Vondrak May 1, 1917, at LeMars, Iowa. They moved to California in 1960. He died in November 1963 in California.
She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist church.
Survivors include two sons, Darwin and Garlyn, both of Orange County, Calif.; one brother Eldren of Riviera, Ariz.; three sisters, Geraldine Gregory of Anaheim, Calif., Gladys Trombatore of Lakewood, Calif., and Mrs. Edith Priborsky of South Sioux City; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren
