Obituary of John Joseph Vondrak, 1898-1963
John Joseph Vondrak, 65, Barstow, Cal., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday morning at his home.
Mr. Vondrak was born in February 27, 1898 on a farm in Plymouth county and he moved to Sioux City as a young man. He married Gretchen Hall at LeMars May 1, 1918. He worked as a salesman for Metz Bakery until he moved to California three years ago.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, Darwin of Barstow, and Garlyn of Long Beach, Cal.; one sister, Mrs. Frances Kovarna of Hinton, Ia.; one brother, Clarence of Hinton, and two grandchildren.
