Hume Ferguson
Hume Ferguson, 69, Route 1, Sioux City, former service manager for Kidder-Knoepfler Co., was dead on arrival at a Sioux City hospital Monday afternoon after he became ill at home.
Mr. Ferguson was service manager at Kidder-Knoepfler for 25 years, retiring in 1968.
He was born Nov. 18, 1900, in Woodbury County and has been a lifelong resident of Sioux City. He married Dorothy Rochester Dec. 15, 1921, in Sioux City.
Mr. Ferguson was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hinton, Abu Bekr Shrine Temple, Sioux City Consistory, and Triangle Lodge 643, AF&M.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Col. H.D. Ferguson of Travis Air Force Base, Calif., a daughter. Mrs. Marilyn Hamman of Kingsley, Iowa, and eight grandchildren.
A memorial in his name is being established for the Shrine Hospital.
The body was taken to the Anderson Funeral Home.
