Obituary. Raymond Wentz.
Raymond L. Wentz, 67, Remsen, died Saturday at Floyd Valley hospital, Le Mars, he had been hospitalized for six days, and had been ailing several years.
For the last several years he has lived at Happy Siesta retirement home in Remsen.
Mr. Wentz was born Oct. 22, 1903 at Remsen, the son of Frank and Margaret Wentz. He was an accountant and had been employed in Washington, D. C. He returned to Remsen in 1948.
A prayer service was held Monday morning at the Moeller funeral home in Remsen with Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating.
The body was taken to Omaha for cremation and ashes will be buried at the Remsen city cemetery at a later date.
He is survived by a son Raymond E. Wentz, Patrick AFB, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise, and a brother. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, June 28, 1971, page 10.
