Eugene E. Cobb, wife of Arthur J. H. Zimmerman, was born March 24, 1895, in the Merrill-Melbourne community southeast of Merrill, Iowa. She was the daughter of Elmer and Anna Cobb. She grew up on a farm. Gene was united in marriage to Art Zimmerman on August 20, 1913, at Merrill, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Robert Zimmerman, Bill Donald Zimmerman, Mary Jane (Mrs. Allen) Weidauer and Gerald Allen Zimmerman.

Mrs. Zimmerman passed away August 30, 1985, at the age of 90 years. Funeral was September 4, 1985 at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Donald Bardole officiated. Interment was at the Stanton Township Cemetery.
