Johann Rolfs, father of Mrs. John Groth, of Remsen, died at the Groth residence last Saturday at ten o’clock p.m. following an attack due to heart trouble. He was eighty-three years of age and well known in the entire vicinity, having lived here for five years previous to his moving to Everly, Iowa, his home at the time of death. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Tuesday, June 10, 1913, page 2.
