Frederick Neuenschwander, a pioneer resident of Remsen, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital Friday, shortly after midnight, following a short sickness. Death was caused by kidney trouble and heart disease.
Deceased was born at Elgin, Iowa, October 29, 1875, and was 56 years, 5 months and 23 days of age. At the age of one year he came with his parents to Remsen, where they settled on a farm north of town, and he has lived there to the time of his death.
He was united in marriage to Ella Gardt, and to this union six children were born. They are Irwin, Dorothy, Elmer, Marie and Robert. One child preceded the father in death.
