THEODORE MOHR DIES. Deceased Was a Resident of This County for Several Years.
Peter Theodore Mohr died Tuesday, September 9, at the home of his sister [sister-in-law], Mrs. Minnie Mohr, 415 First street SE, of hemorrhage of the stomach, caused by cancer. Mr. Mohr has been in poor health for some months.
Theodore Mohr was born in Holstein, Germany, on August 15, 1861. When a boy he came with relatives to America in 1872 and lived at New Liberty, near Davenport. Mr. Mohr engaged in farming and followed that occupation most of his life. In 1910 he came to Plymouth county and farmed with his brother Herman Mohr, now deceased, near Remsen. Mr. Mohr made his home of late with his sister-in-law in Le Mars, where he could be near medical assistance. He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Mohr and a sister, Miss Margaret Mohr of Remsen and a number of nephews and nieces.
Mr. Mohr was a single man. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence, 415 First Street SE., Rev. Theo. Thomas officiating, and the remains taken to Remsen for burial. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Sept 12, 1924, page 1.
