Max J. Buhman, 80, Sioux City, died Thursday (May 24, 1984) in a Sioux City nursing home after a brief illness. Services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday in the Berkemier Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Oakland of Riverside United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Buhman was born Dec. 27,1903, at Charter Oak and lived in Plymouth County as a child. He married Marie Heien Feb. 8,1922, in Plymouth County. She died Feb. 5, 1941, at Merrill, and he came to Sioux City the same year.
He married Mona Goodwin Sept. 23, 1942, at Sioux City. She died Jan. 6, 1982. He was employed by Iowa Public Service Co. as a lineman for many years. Mr. Buhman was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Montagne and Margery Reed, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Jean Loomis of Storm Lake, one son, Robert Reed of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Henry of Sioux City; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
