LeMars Sentinel, LeMars, Plymouth, Iowa, USA April 1, 1980 Tuesday

Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Foley, 88, a LeMars native and lifetime resident, died Monday (March 31, 1980) at Plymouth Manor care center after a lengthy illness. She was born November 19, 1891, in LeMars to Nicholas and Anna Fhruerisen Therens. Mrs. Foley was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. James church and guild and Gold Star Mothers. She was married Feb. 14, 1912, in LeMars to William Foley, A son, Milton (Bud) Foley died while serving in the Navy in World War II. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1939 and by a daughter, Jean Schojt. The rosary will be received at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Luedtke funeral home in LeMars and by the CDA at 8:30 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James church with Rev. George McFadden officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Luedtke funeral home. Survivors are a son, William Foley, LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Hilton (Dorothy) Pecks, LeMars; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
