Death of John Rolapp
John Rolapp, whose serious illness from a stroke of apoplexy was reported last issue, succumbed on Sunday. He was stricken on Thursday and never rallied and from the first it was obvious that his days were numbered owing to his great age and lack of vitality and Dr. Mammen, who attended him, held out no hope for his recovery. He passed peacefully away on Sunday surrounded by his family, after a long and honorable life having reached the age of seventy-four years.
Mr. Rolapp was an old resident of the county and a successful farmer. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss. His daughters are Mrs. Henry Johnson and Mrs. Henry Ommen and Henry Rolapp is his only son. They reside in this county. Mrs. C. S. Mammen, who died a few weeks ago was a daughter of Mr. Rolapp.
The funeral was held on Tuesday at the German Lutheran church, Rev. J. D. Meyer officiating and the remains laid to rest in the Grant township cemetery.
