Last Rites for Mrs. Anna L. Friske Are Held Monday Afternoon

Mrs. Anna Louise Friske, a resident of northwest Plymouth county for many years, passed away at her home, three miles north of town, at 5:15 o'clock Saturday morning, September, 18, 1937, after a lingering illness from heart trouble, aged 63 years and 3 months.

Anna Louise Roloff was born June 19, 1874, in Germany, where she grew to young womanhood and was united in marriage with Gus. Friske. They came to America and located in Plymouth county, where they engaged in farming for many years. Mr. Friske preceded his wife in death on: April 23, 1936.

Left to mourn her departure are four daughters and two sons Mrs. Anton Scheld, of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Carl Balk, of Moville, Iowa; Paul, Arthur, Mabel and Edna Friske, at home; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Wm. Roepke, of Kingsley, Iowa, and one sister and one brother. in Germany, Martha Klitzke and Gustof Roloff. Mrs. Friske was a kind and devoted wife and mother, a helpful, kind and sympathetic friend and neighbor, who will be greatly missed in the community in which she has resided for so many years. Her many friends extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at 1 o'clock at the family home and at 2 o'clock in the Immanuel English Lutheran church, in this city, conducted by the pastor, C. Everett Johnson. Mr. Johnson sang at the services in the home and Misses Lula Claassen and Lois Johnson sang in the church. Interment was in the cemetery at Kingsley, Iowa.
