RITES HELD FOR MRS. ED. F. NEARY

Former Akron Woman Passes Away At Home Near Beresford, S. D.

Mrs. Edward F. Neary, a former Akron resident, passed away Friday, October 5, 1945, at her home in the Glenwood community, near Beresford, in Clay county, S. D., after a lingering illness, at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 17 days.

Mary Ann Agnes, better known here as Molly Agnes, was born in Akron, Iowa, July 7, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Agnes. She grew to young womanhood here and was united in marriage with Edward F. Neary. Their union was blessed with two sons and two daughters. After several years residence here, the family moved to a farm near Elk Point, S. D., and later took up farming near Beresford.

Left to mourn her departure are her husband, one son, Vincent Paul Neary, of Camp McCoy, Wis.; two daughters, Helen Marie, of Beresford, S. D., and Mrs. Vivian Agnes Wainser, of Milwaukee, Wis.; three grandchildren; three brothers and seven sisters, Mrs. A. J. Claeys and James A. Agnes, of Akron; Mrs. Clarence Bui-rill, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Sister Mary St. Matthew, of San Francisco, Calif.; Sister Mary St. Vivian, of Emmetsburg, la.; Sister Mary Antonius, of Wichita, Kan.; Rev. John P. Agnes, S. J., of Milwaukee, Wis.; Matthew A. Agnes, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Olive Agnes, of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Rose Hoffman, of Washington, D. C.

One son, Earl Edward, preceded his mother in death.

Mrs. Neary was revered by a. host of friends for her pleasant personality and fine attributes of character, and all unite in offering sympathy her family and other relatives in, their bereavement. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Teresa's Catholic church in Beresford, Rev. FT. P. A. Kietty officiating. Interment -was in St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Akron. Acting as pallbearers were Nick Birgen; E. R. McMarcus, John Scheuring, Nick Schuering, Ed. Lass and Vernon Niers.

Relatives from a distance attending the final rites -were: Mrs. Vivian A. Wamser and Miss Olive Agnes, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Sister Mary St. Vivian, of Emmetsburg, la.; Sister Mary Antonius, of Wichita, Kan.; Matthew A. Agnes, of Fort Dodge, Iowa.
