Note: Her last name is Murray is because she married Edwin Murray in 1965. The marriage was dissolved in 1973. Her Mother's maiden name was Johnson.

Mrs. Opal Murray

Mrs. Opal Murray, 79, Kingsley, died Sunday (Dec. 9, 1979) in a Sioux City hospital of short illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Michael Catholic church at Kingsley. Rev. Gerald Fisch will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael cemetery. The Catholic Daughters of America will recite the Rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday and there will be a scripture prayer service at 8 p.m. at the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murray the former Inez Bainbridge, was born July 21, 1900, in Union township, Plymouth County.

She married Walter McDermott Nov. 24, 1925, in Kingsley. He died in 1956. She lived on a farm north of Kingsley until 1954, retiring to Kingsley in 1956. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic church, the church guild and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors are one son, Larry McDermott of Kingsley; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Fairy) Steffe of Moville; a brother, Lloyd and a sister, Mrs. Alice Roepke, both of Kingsley; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters.
