FARM ACCIDENT INJURIES CLAIM CHESTER RABY

Merrill, Iowa—Special:
Chester William Raby, 58, Route 2, Merrill, died unexpectedly Saturday at a Sioux City hospital.

Mr. Raby had been hospitalized with back injuries six weeks ago after a calf had knocked him into a dirt loader on the farm of his son-in-law, Duane Dewey, near Westfield, Iowa.

Mr. Raby was born March 9, 1907, in Sioux City, attended Sioux City schools. He had farmed most of his adult life in Plymouth County near Merrill. He married Lois Solomon June 24, 1930, in Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow: a daughter, Mrs. Duane Dewey, of Westfield; two brothers, Delbert of Merrill and Herbert of Akron, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Kamm of Sioux City, and four grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside, Sioux City.

Chester Raby dies of injuries after farm mishap

Funeral services for Chester William Raby, 58, rural Merrill, who died unexpectedly at a Sioux City hospital following surgery, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Merrill Methodist church. Rev. Marion Bloodworth will officiate and burial will be in Graceland Park cemetery, Sioux City, under direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home.

Mr. Raby had been hospital weeks ago after a calf had knocked him into a dirt loader on the farm of his son-in-law, Duane Dewey, near Westfield. He had been helping load 4-H livestock for the county fair. Mr. Raby was born March 9, 1907, in Sioux City, and attended Sioux City schools. He had farmed most of his adult life in Plymouth county near Merrill. He married Lois Solomon June 24, 1930, in Sioux City.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Duane Dewey of Westfield; two brothers, Delbert of Merrill and Herbert of Akron, a sister, Mrs. Elsie Kamm oŁ Sioux City, and four grandchildren.
