Deceased Had Suffered from Incurable Disease For a Long Time--Leaves a Husband and Several Children to Mourn Her Death.

Mrs. Doering, wife of H. O. Doering, residing at 611 Eagle street, succumbed to a long illness on Thursday evening. Death was not unexpected as she had been failing rapidly for some time, having been in ill health for the past two years. Death was due to locomotor ataxia.

Mrs. Doering was one of the pioneer residents of the county, coming here in early days with her husband. She was a native of Germany. Her maiden name was Anna Marie Reese and she was born on August 26, 1842. In 1865 she came to New York with her parents and later moved to Illinois and then to Jones county, Iowa, where she was united in marraige with H. O. Doering in the year 1869. The Doering family came to Plymouth county in 1873 and settled in Grant township and after hard work and early struggles, prospered and became possessors of fine farms in that and Elgin township. For the past few years they have lived a retired life in LeMars, leaving the work on the farms to the younger generation. Mrs. Doering is survived by her husband and several children, who are, William, of Maddox, N. D., Henry of Beach, N. D., Mrs. H. A. Monke, of Avoca, Minn., George, Albert and John, of this county.

The funeral services were held yesterday at the late home and were largely attended by old neighbors and friends and the interment made in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Doering was a loving wife and mother, a good Christian woman, a fine neighbor and was held in high regard in the community where she had llived for more than a generation.
