Note: Alta Korthals first husband was Harold Lunde. He died in 1942.

Mrs. Paul Korthals, 84, the former Alta (Morehead) Lunde, died Aug. 30, 1982, in a San Diego, Calif, nursing home. She had been ill several months in Mercy hospital.

Services were held in Greenwood Mausoleum, Sept. 1. The Rev. Don Jolly officiated. Her body was laid to rest next to her husband who died six days before.

Alta, daughter of the late Charles O. and Elizabeth S. (Hoffman) Morehead, was born March 5, 1898 near Akron, Iowa. She married Paul Korthals Oct. 31, 1944 at Sioux Falls, S.D.

Survivors are five sisters, Dorothy Miller, Riverside, Calif., Madge Kellogg, San Diego, Calif., Joy McCorkell, Lodi, Calif., Alma Port and Hope Lucken, both of Akron, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
