HARM J. HEEREN SUCCUMBED FRI.

Stricken With Influenza Three Weeks Ago

Harm J. Heeren, a pioneer resident of Plymouth county, died on Friday afternoon at his home, 401 2nd Ave. N. E. Death was caused by infirmities of old age.

About three weeks ago Mr. Heeren suffered an attack of Influenza.

In the year 1876 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Marie Klein at Jackson, Illinois. Two years after their marriage they came to Le Mars and took up their residence on a farm in Grant township. After residing there a few years they went back to Illinois but soon returned to Iowa and farmed for many years near Maurice and Hawarden. To this union nine children were born, seven of whom are still living.

The seven children who survive are John, Le Mars; Herman, Chatsworth, Iowa; Mrs, Arndt UImann, Cambria, Minn.; Gerhard, Le Mars; Hannah Hein, Oldham, S. D.; Edward, Le Mars and Emma Smith, of Le Mars. There are also 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services will he held Tuesday a t 1:30 o'clock from the house and a t two o'clock from St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. L.. L. Belk will officiate at the services. Interment will be made in the city cemetery with L. E. Mauer, funeral director. In charge of arrangements.
