MS. JOHN HEEREN EXPIRES AT AGE 80 FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Mrs. John Heeren, 80, died Sunday at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of several years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran church. Rev. L. L. Belk will officiate. Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauer funeral home.

Mrs. Heeren was born on a farm near here and lived in Plymouth county all her life. The former Edith Gretje Harms, she was married in February 1908 an a farm near Le Mars, and the couple farmed until moving here in 1941.

Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Harm of Le Mars; two sons. Herman A. of rural Le Mars, and Louis J. of Le Mars; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two sisters. Mrs. Charles Utech of Sioux City and Mrs. Anne Heeren of Pierre, S. L).

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Heeren was a member of St. John American Lutheran church and American Lutheran Church Women.

MRS. JOHN HEEREN CALLED BY DEATH

Rites Last Wednesday For Former Johnson Township Woman

Mrs. John, E. (Edith Gretje) Heeren, a life-long resident of Plymouth county, passed away Sunday at Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars., after a several years illness, aged 80 years and 16 days.

Editlh Gretje, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Harms was born February 3, 1887, near Le Mars. She was married to John E. Heeren in Johnson township, in February, 1906 and farmed there until moving to
Le Mars in 1941. She was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church and Ladies' Circle

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Raun of Le Mars; two sons, Herman A. of rural Le Mars,, and Louis. J. of Le Mars; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Utech of Sioux City Mrs. Anne Heien of Pierre, She was preceded in death by parents one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Wednesday St. John American) Lutheran. The Rev. L. L. officiating. Burial was in, the Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.
