Death Claims Herman Heeren Old Resident

Herman Heeren of Hawarden died Friday at the hospital in Hawarden from complications of illness.

The funeral was held Monday, Rev. W. Burkard officiating, and the remains were brought to Le Mars for interment in the city cemetery.

Mr. Heeren was born in Sioux county, August 4, 1877, and was engaged in farming all of his life. He leaves five children, Verlin Clarke, Glendale, Calif., Mrs. F . Allen, Alcester, S. D., Mrs. Fred Handy of Los Angeles, Lamar Heeren of Lowery Field, Cal., and Glen Heeren of Alcester. S. D., and three brothers, Gerhard, John and Ward ..of Hawarden and three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Ullman of Canby, Minn., Mrs. Hannah Heine of DeSmet, S. D., and Mrs. George Smith, of Le Mars.
