Akron Register-Tribune, Akron, Plymouth, Iowa, USA October 30, 1975

Mrs. Henry Plueger, 77, of Akron, was found Wednesday (Oct. 22, 1975) in her apartment dead of an apparent heart attack. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 in St. John Lutheran church, rural Akron. The Rev. Jim Sandvik officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron. Pallbearers were Dwight Horton, Kenneth Horton, Dennis Horton, Richard Horton, Ronald Plueger, and Randy Plueger.

The former Alma Margaret Borchers, was born January 24, 1898, in Le Mars. She married Henry Plueger November 28, 1918 at Akron. They farmed in the Akron area until retiring to town in 1961. Mr. Plueger died in 1974.

Survivors Include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Arlene) Horton of Hawarden and Mrs. Art (Fern) Horton of Pipestone, Minn.; one son, Darrell of Akron; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Freda Eilers of Le Mars.
