REMSEN. From the Bell-Enterprise. The body of John Heesch, who died at his home in Davenport, Iowa, Monday, was brought to Remsen for burial. Mr. Heesch died at the age of 62 years. He was a native of Germany and about twenty-five years ago made his home around Remsen for a short time. At the death of his wife here, he moved to Davenport where he since had been engaged as a cabinet maker. Surviving him are two sons, Wm. Heesch, living south of Remsen and Carl Heesch, of Marcus vicinity, and one daughter, Mrs. Ena Samson, also of Marcus. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery Friday afternoon , with services conducted by Rev. A. Noack of Christ Lutheran church. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Feb. 14, 1933, page 2.
