Obituary. Henry G. Sanny.
Henry G. Sanny, 72, route 3, Le Mars, died after a short illness July 18, 1975, in St. Vincent hospital, Sioux City.
Funeral services were Monday in the Mauer funeral chapel at 10:30 a.m., with burial in the Remsen cemetery. Kenneth Thomas, lay leader, officiated.
Mr. Sanny was born Oct. 29, 1902, in Remsen. He lived for five years at Ellsworth, Minn., and then 23 years near Remsen. In 1968 he moved to Washington township near Le Mars where he lived as a retired farmer until his death.
He married Katherine Solma at Rock Rapids, Aug. 27, 1937. Mr. Sanny’s parents were Henry and Elsie Sanny Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine, Le Mars; three sons Marlin, Hastings, Neb.; Gerald, Le Mars; and Ervin, Des Moines; a daughter Mrs. Roger (Doris) Dau, Le Mars; six grandchildren; a brother Albert, Cherokee; and a sister Mrs. Ted Amundson, Le Mars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John and three sisters, Wanda Petterson, Clara Bzork [Clara Bjork?] and Dora Englebrecht. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, July 22, 1975, page 9.
