Mrs. Louise Sanny Died On Monday. Lived Half Century In Remsen Vicinity.
Mrs. Louise Sanny died Monday, February 18, at her home in Remsen of a heart attack.
Mrs. Sanny was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gravenhorst and was born Jun 29, 1871, in Hampton, Rock Island county, Ill. She was married December 17, 1890, to John Sanny in Benton county, and the next year they came to Plymouth county and located on a farm near Remsen, where they lived until 1918, when they retired and moved to that town.
Two sons and one daughter survive the parents, Frank Sanny of Luverne, Minn., Charles Sanny of Modesto, Calif., and Mrs. Ida Kennedy of Los Angeles, Calif. One son died in infancy.
Mrs. Sanny was a member of the American Legion auxiliary for 25 years.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Evangelical church in Remsen with Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating and burial was in Remsen city cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Niggeling, Emory Spiecker, John Engelbrecht, Frank Engelbrecht, Carl Mehlhop and Dr. Mylan. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Friday, Feb. 22, 1946
