John Sanny Of Remsen Dies. Was Well Known Farmer, Stockman.
John Sanny, 77, early settler of Remsen, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon from a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock Saturday in St. Paul Evangelical church in Remsen.
Mr. Sanny farmed many years in Meadow township.
He was born in Holstein, Gemany, May 19, 1864, and came to the United States when fourteen and worked as a farm hand in Benton county, Iowa. He was married in LaPorte City December 17, 1890, to Louise Gravenhorst and they came to Remsen following their marriage.
He leaves his wife and sons, Frank of Luverne, Minn., and Charles C. Sanny of Modesto, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Ida Siberell , of Ames, Iowa. A sister, Mrs. Hans Frondt, lives at Spirit Lake. His only brother, Henry Sanny, a Meadow township farmer, died in 1932. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Friday, March 13, 1942, page 1.
