Darrell "Dolly' Palmer, 62, Akron, died Thursday (Aug, 31, 1978) in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha of a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Akron. Rev. Stanley Stone will officiate. Graveside rites will be conducted by members of Hoschler post 186, American Legion, in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Akron. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the Schroeder funeral home at Akron.

Mr. Palmer was born July 28,1916, at Akron. He married Inez Diediker Sept. 24,1953, at Luverne, Minn. Mr. Palmer was a veteran of World War 2. He operated the American Legion club at Akron for many years.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Debbie, at home; two stepsons, Bruce Reemts of Omaha and Neil Chamberlain of Akron; a brother, Arthur Palmer of Palmdale, Calif.; a, sister, Mrs. Bill Radcliffe of Marcus, and two grandchildren.
