Michael Puhl, 84, Chatsworth, died Tuesday, April 3, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church at Hawarden with Rev. William Carel officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Church Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home of Hawarden.

Mr. Puhl was born Dec. 13,1888, the son of the late Jacob and Ava Puhl. He married Terisa Westergard in January 1912. They farmed in the Akron and Hawarden vicinity and at Currie, Minn. until he retired to Chatsworth in 1960.

Survivors are his wife, Terisa of Chatsworth; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard' Feldhacker of Maurice and Mrs. Jack Kramper of Jackson, Neb., and two sons, Robert of Struble and Vincent of Hawarden. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
