Victor A. Anderson, 93, of Akron, died Nov. 13 in the hospital here after long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 16 in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. R.T. Ritzhaupt officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home. Graveside rites were conducted by Freedom Lodge 434 AF& AM.
Active pallbearers were Fay Smith, Burnette Quam, H.P. Anderson, Elmer Quam, Lyle F. Jacobs and Cliff Miller. Honorary bearers were Carl Nelson, Dr. C.R. Mason, R.D. Clark, Walter Young, William Philips and Clair McCorkell.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 25,1880 in Sweden. He was a carpenter who plied his trade in the Akron area since 1905. He married Ella Johnson June 20, 1906 in Big Springs, S.D. She died in 1958. He was awarded a 50-year Masonic pin in 1970.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. E.D. Brown of Akron, Mrs. Pearl Cheever of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mrs. Merlyn Woodley of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sons, Lee of Winterset and Kenneth of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Hilder Lombardo of Quincy, Mass., Mrs. Minnie Burk of Lake City, Iowa and Mrs. Doris Pharsworth of Holliston, Mass.
