VERNON BUEHRE
Vernon F. (Bim) Buehre, Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died Sunday (June 10, 1990) at his residence.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, rural Akron, with Rev. Hatty Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family will be present from 7-8 p.m. and a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 30, 1913, in Plymouth County to Henry and Mary Doering Buehre. He married Gladys Dennler Sept. 1, 1936, at Boone.
Mr. Buehre was a retired farmer and member of Plymouth Presbyterian Church, Triangle Lodge 643, A.F. and A.M. Sioux City, where he was a Past Master.
Survivors are his wife, Gladys, LeMars; a son, Gary Buehre and his wife, Judy, Villa Park, Ill.; a daughter Sandra and her husband Robert Jones of Marlow, Okla.; three grandchildren, Suzanne and Steven Buehre and Melinda Jones; a brother, Harry and his wife, Grace, of LeMars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Edna Sargent and Lillian Stockbridge.
