Delmer Edward McMillan, 65, Sioux City, died Friday (Aug. 3, 1979) at his home after a long illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Schroeder funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Mark Knox of First Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron.

Mr. McMillan was born May 23, 1914 in Akron. He married Fannie Loraditch July 2, 1949, at Dakota City, Neb. They moved to Sioux City where he worked for St. Joseph hospital for a few years.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, John and Tom Walker, both of Denison, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Butler of Oregon and Mrs. Annie Gordy of Kalona, Iowa; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Waterbury, McCook Lake, S.D.; three brothers, Elmer and Herbert, both of Hawarden, and Merle of Chatsworth.
