Fritz Behrens, 79, of Remsen, died Friday (Jan. 11, 1985) at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars after an unexpected illness.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Remsen. Rev. Myron Herzberg will officiate. Burial will be in Remsen City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Monday in the Moeller Funeral Home in Remsen.
Mr. Behrens was born Jan. 4, 1906, at Appen, Germany. He married Emma F. Kahl. They farmed in the Remsen and Kingsley area until 1958 when they retired and moved into Remsen.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Loren of Kingsley; one daughter, Mrs. Adrain (Dorothy) Tilbury of Minneapolis; two sisters, Dora Fokken and Emma Fokken, both of Kingsley, and six grandchildren. – family news clipping
