Obituary. Mrs. Otto Gruenefeldt.
Mrs. Otto Gruenefeldt, 77, formerly of Remsen, died Jan. 10 in Seattle after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday [January 18] at the Moeller funeral home in Remsen. Rev. Walter Kurth will officiate and burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery.
She was born July 7, 1894, near Merrill, the daughter of Victor and Mina Bollinger and was married to Mr. Gruenefeldt in 1928 in this area. The couple lived in the Remsen vicinity until 1937 when they moved to Seattle. He died May 4, 1968.
Survivors are a son Emlin G. of Winston, Ore.; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Walter and Arthur Bollinger, both of Sioux City, and a sister Alma Bollinger, Sioux City.
She was a member of the Lutheran church in Seattle – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Jan 17, 1972, page 3.
