Funeral services for Carl Moir, age 72, were held Monday, January 26, at the Union Creek Lutheran Church, Rev. Harris Hostager officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, the Schroeder Funeral Home in charge.

Casket bearers were: Richard Moir, Donald Moir, Lloyd Buss, Steve Heeren, Robin Heeren and George
Laughton. Mr. Moir died January 23, in the Akron hospital, after a long illness.

Carl Moir was born May 19, 1897, in Eugene, Oregon. On August 25, 1920, he was married to Maybelle Simmons, at Lincoln, Nebr. He was a life-long car and implement dealer in Akron, and was a World War I Veteran.

Survivors are his widow: one son, Ronald at home; daughters, Mrs. Victor Clark of Tempe, Ariz. and Mrs. Ray Heeren of Akron; sister, Mrs. Lloyd Laughton of Le Mars; brothers, Glen and Will of Le Mars, Roy of Sioux City, Allie of Los Angeles, Calif. and Melvin of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
