Funeral services for Joseph N. "Nap" Lamoureux, 73, Merrill, Iowa, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church, Merrill. The Rev. James Fangman officiated. Burial was in Calvary
Cemetery in Sioux City. Mr. Lamoureux died Friday at his home after a brief illness.Mr. Lamoureux was born March 27, 1896 in Salix. He married Edna Dalgliesh April 10, 1918 at Akron and they, lived in the Sioux City vicinity until three years ago when they moved to Merrill. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the Assumption Catholic Church of Merrill.
Survivors include the widow; four sons, Royal of Minneapolis, Minn., Wayne of Merrill, and Patrick and Richard, both of Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Frances (Marguritte) Vondrak of Sioux City, Mrs. Floyd (Janice) Vondrak of Penngrove, Calif., Mrs. Larry (Leune) Petersen of Merrill and Mrs. Frank (Beverly) Bytnar of Chicago, Il.; eight brothers, Charles and Walter of Casper, Wyo., Leonard, Clifford, Lovay and William of Akron, Milford of Sergeant Bluff and Lloyd of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Gant and Mrs. Edna Latham, both of Akron and Mrs. Madaline Bay of Rock Valley; 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
