Funeral services, were held January 12, at Vermillion S.D. at St Agnes Catholic Church for Albert A. (Fred) Bertrand age 71. Mr. Bertrand died January 8 at the; Vermillion Hospital after a long illness.

He was born June 16, 1898, at Butte, Montana. On February 20, 192 he married Pansie Simeon at Akron, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand have resided in Vermillion for the past 42 years.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, two sons, two sisters, four brothers and 12 grandchildren.
