Ernest Frerichs, 77, Le Mars, died unexpectedly at his home last Thursday morning of ah apparent heart attack. He had not been ill and was employed at Floyd Valley Broilers in Le Mars.

Mr. Frerichs was born August 28, 1892, at Akron, the son of the late George and Metta Zimmerman Frerichs. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Le Mars the last 24 years. His marriage to Minnie Meinen took place July 13,1915, at Akron.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran church in Preston township, rural Akron. Rev. James Sandvik officiated and burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Minnie; four, daughters, Mrs. Paul (Esther) Beeck, Le Mars; Mrs. Rhinehard (Leona) Witt, Akron; Mrs. Edward (Mildred) Drake, Hawarden; Mrs. William (Arlene) Miller, rural Merrill; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Frerichs, Akron, and a sister, Mrs. Alma Luschen of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
