Mary Siebens was oldest member Grant Church
Mary Siebens, 95, rural Le Mars, the oldest member of Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 1985) at the Orange City Community Hospital. She was a lifelong Plymouth County, Grant Township resident. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, with Rev. Jack Hebard officiating,
Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Mailer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born Dec. 24,1889, in Grant Township to Henry and Trinka Dirks Plueger. She married Claus Siebens May 21, 1909, at rural Preston Township. He died in 1955.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Minnie) Kruse, Mrs. Otto (Frances) Ludwigs and Mrs. Jack (Rose) Ludwigs, all of Le Mars; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Fred, Henry and Richard Plueger, all of Le Mars. She was also preceded in death by by her parents; a daughter, Anna Hennings and twin daughters and a son in infancy; three brothers and three sisters.
