Hazel Harnack, 71, Marcus, died Sunday (July 16,1972) at the Sioux Valley hospital, Cherokee, after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Peace Lutheran Church, Marcus, with burial in the Remsen city cemetery.
Miss Harnack was born July 26, 1900, at Remsen. She lived at Remsen until 1936 when she moved to Sylmar, Calif.
She was employed at the Los Angeles county hospital and retired in 1966 and returned to Marcus.
Survivors are a brother, Clarence of Remsen and three sisters, Mrs. Delbert Drefke of Marcus, Mrs. Walter Dettman of Spencer and Mrs. Oina Jacobsen of Lake Park. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, July 18, 1972, page 12.
