Relatives here received word Tuesday afternoon of the sudden death of Mrs. Otto Petersen, formerly of Remsen, who passed away at her home in Long Beach, Calif., Tuesday morning, following a paralytic stroke, suffered last Thursday. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, August 19, 1947, page 4.

Note: Wanda (Sanny) Petersen is the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Frondt) Sanny according to Elsie Sanny’s obit and she is buried in the Remsen City Cemetery. Her gravestone lists her birth year as 1898 and the death year as 1947.
