MRS. GLEN SELF

Mrs. Glen Self, 55, Marcus, died unexpectedly Friday (July 29, 1977) at Sioux Valley Memorial hospital, Cherokee, after a sudden illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, LeMars, with Rev. Robert Hanthorn officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery, Fonda, with the Nelson-Mauer Funeral Home, Marcus, in charge.

Mrs. Self, the former Shirley Freeman, was born July 27, 1922, in Nemaha to Robert and Zella Rice Freeman.

She was married Feb. 28, 1944, in Oakland, Calif. She lived in the Marcus community for 13 years.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Wanda) Geringer of Marcus and Mrs. Walter (Donna) Becker of LeMars; a son, James, of Marcus; six grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Zella Freeman of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Derry of San Jose and Mrs. Freda Cole of Carriere, Miss.; and five brothers, Quinten of Midwest City, Okla., Daryl of Carbon, Ind., Kermit of Portland, Ore., Arnim of Condon, Ore., and LeRoy of Bridgeport, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter.
