CHARLES McCORMICK DEAD
FROM HEART ATTACK AT HOME

Charles James McCormick, 81, who lived at 420 Central Ave. SE, LeMars died unexpectedly Tuesday (Nov. 30, 1976) at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born Oct. 25, 1895, in Lexington, Neb., and was a retired farmer.

He lived in the Lexington, Storm Lake and Spirit Lake areas and moved to LeMars in 1958. His parents were the late James and Elizabeth DeLap McCormick.

He married Wilma Huston Feb. 19, 1919, in Early and she died in 1951. His marriage to Christine L. Petersen took place Aug. 3, 1958, at Plattsmouth, Neb.

Mr. McCormick was a member of Calvary United Methodist church, LeMars Lions Club, Giblem Masonic Lodge of LeMars, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary United Methodist church in LeMars, Rev. Denton Erickson and Rev. H. O. Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Spirit Lake cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars.

Survivors are his wife, Christine McCormick, LeMars; a son, Clyde McCormick of Lexington, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Martinsen, Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Janet Wright, Minneapolis.

There are 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Nell Shull, Storm Lake, Mrs. Helen Pittstick, Nebraska City, Neb., and Mrs. Thelma Anderson, Tucson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma, and by two sons, Robert and Russell.
