ALBERT NULL DEAD AT 85
FUNERAL SERVICE TUESDAYAlbert Null, 85, of 531 1st Ave, SW, died Saturday (Aug. 28, 1976) at Sioux City, St. Luke’s hospital after a long illness.
Albert Edward Null was born Aug. 14, 1891, in Elgin township near LeMars.
He married the former Grace E. McDougall at Seney, Feb. 5, 1913.
Mr. Null was employed as a salesman until his retirement.
A prayer service will be held Monday at 7:45 p.m. at the Mauer Funeral Home.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist church with Rev. Denton Ericson presiding. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Null was a member of the Calvary United Methodist church and a member of the church’s board of trustees. He also served on the board of trustees of Westmar College. He was also a past member of the LeMars supervisor and zoning board.
Survivors are his wife, one son, Russell, of Early; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marian) Thunhorst of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Billy (Ruby) Lamb of Alexandria, Va., Mrs. William (Alberta) Hodam of Des Moines, Mrs. Harold (Gracie) Ruden of LeMars, and Mrs. Harold (Jeanne)Vogt of Aurelia; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Etta Albert of Canton, S.D., and Mrs. Lillian Faulkner, Elkton, S.D.
Mr. Null was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters, and two sons, Richard and Delbert.
