Mrs. Ella Boever passed away October 29, 1952, at Sacred Heart hospital just two days after the burial of her husband.
Ella Whittmer was born January 15, 1882, at Wilton Junction, Iowa. She had lived in and near Remsen for the past 66 years. Together with her husband she retired to Remsen in 1921. She had been in failing health for the past several years. She was married to Frank Boever on April 27, 1910 in Remsen.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Fisch funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Following Rev. Noack will officiate at the last rites at Christ Lutheran church there. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Boehmke of Holland, Minn.; Mrs. Ida Miller of Storm Lake and a brother, Elmer Whittmer of Cherokee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who passed away following an accident in Remsen last week. Mrs. Boever collapsed when she was told of her husband’s fall and was taken to the hospital. She regained consciousness but passed away in a few days.
Pallbearers will be the same as those for Mr. Boever. They are Joe Bunkers, Joe Bohnenkamp, Dr. W. V. Bates, Sylvester Kobberman, Roy Holtgrewe and Bill Kellen.
