ERIC SCOTT IS DEAD. DIED VERY SUDDENLY FROM HEART FAILURE.
WAS AN OLD RESIDENT OF REMSEN.
Came to Plymouth County from Denmark Over Thirty Years Ago. Is Survived by Family of Six Children.
Eric Scott, a well known resident of Remsen, and widely known in Plymouth county, died very suddenly at his home in Remsen shortly after midnight on Saturday. Mr. Scott had been up town in the evening visiting friends and playing cards. Returning home later in the evening he laid down on a couch, not feeling very well. Shortly after midnight he was found dead. Death was due to heart failure.
Mr. Scott has been a resident of Remsen for over thirty years and was engaged in contracting and other work. He was a native of Denmark and came to this county directly from his native land. He was about 64 years of age.
He leaves six children to mourn his death. They are Mrs. Albert Krekow of Marcus, Andrew Scott, a banker at Paullina, Mrs. Otto Nitzschke of Remsen, and Maud, George and Arthur living at home. Mrs. Scott died about twelve years ago.
The funeral service will be held this afternoon at the Lutheran church in Remsen at 2:30. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, March 9, 1920, page 1.
