Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa H. Witt, 71, lifelong Plymouth county resident who died at a hospital here Thursday night after a two-year sickness were at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben officiated and burial was in Remsen city cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home here.
Mrs. Witt, the former Rosa Hansen, was born near Remsen October 31, 1885 and lived on a farm in the Remsen area until she moved to Le Mars in 1940. She was married to John J. Witt December 22, 1909 at Remsen. Mr. Witt died in 1932.
Survivors include a daughter Miss Irma Witt of Le Mars; a son, Glenn of Le Mars; a sister, Mrs. Emma Brugmann, three brothers, John Hansen, Lewiston, Idaho; William Hansen, Le Mars; Charles Hansen, Granville; and two grandchildren. – Le Mars Globe-Post, August 5, 1957, page 1.
