Adolph R. C. Witt, 74, died Sunday morning at Floyd Valley hospital, where he had been a patient the last three weeks.
He was born July 25, 1894, at Remsen and farmed south of Remsen for many years with his brother John.
In 1934 he moved into Remsen with Mr. and Mrs. John Witt. After moving to Remsen he became a carpenter, following that trade for a number of years.
His parents were the late Adolph and Maria Harnack Witt.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen. Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate.
Burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Arnold Erichsen, Remsen.
Mr. Witt was a 32nd degree Mason and within a few months he would have been a 50-year member. He was a member of the Abu Beke temple, Sioux City; Eastern Star Marcus chapter and Seba lodge No. 463 AF and Am, Marcus. – Le Mars Globe –Post May 26, 1969, page 6.
